Natural stone sealing – premium quality
Sealing of natural stones
Natural stone sealing is used both indoors and outdoors. Since many types of natural stone are strongly influenced by the weather and can therefore change color in the long term, it is advisable and sensible to make them resistant to weather influences with a seal. But not only the influence on the color of the stone goes hand in hand with the weather, but also the in this case unpopular living nature such as moss and mold can attack the stones. It is therefore essential to maintain the natural stones, which is often associated with a lot of effort. Here, too, the natural stone sealing helps because it is water-repellent and mold and moss can no longer adhere firmly or are very easy to remove.
Our natural stone sealing effectively and permanently protects against any external influences and, thanks to its depth effect, achieves a unique long-term effect that protects the stone, makes it look more beautiful for longer and guarantees a significantly longer service life.

Natural stone sealing in the outdoor area
As mentioned before, the main problems to be seen here are moss and color changes. Another aspect is frost resistance. Here there is the possibility of water penetrating into the open structure of the stone, which can lead to flaking when the stone freezes due to the expansion of the water in the stone.
The right terrace sealing
The terrace usually represents the largest area of natural stones in the outdoor area of the house. In addition, this is often used on warm days to rest and spend the day there. Therefore, the greatest interest in the outdoor area is to preserve the beauty of this undamaged for many years to decades.

Sealing natural stone indoors
In the case of natural stones in the interior, there are mainly problems with mold formation in the bathroom and abrasion caused by flooring. Natural stone sealing in the bathroom
In damp rooms such as the bathroom, there are several factors that can negatively affect natural stones. As the name suggests, these include high levels of moisture and the use of soaps and shower gels. FAQ
1. The effectiveness of the sealer may be impaired if moisture (e.g. rain or rising damp from the floor) occurs during the application or drying phase (approx. 24 hours).
2. Pre-cleaning that is not completely residue-free can also lead to problems. It is essential that stone cleaners or other pre-cleaners are completely removed.
3. Any pre-coatings can prevent the sealant from being optimally absorbed and set, which can lead to a reduced or non-long-lasting effect.
Recommendation:
1. We generally advise against using a pressure washer for cleaning stone and concrete slabs. The heavy abrasion damages the surfaces and makes them more susceptible to re-soiling and algae growth.
2. The abrasive action of the pressure washer can remove the top layer of a sealant, even if the hydrophobicity in the deeper layers remains intact.
The durability of the sealant can be influenced by various factors. Possible problems during application, such as exposure to moisture during the drying phase or inadequate pre-cleaning, can impair the optimum effect. In addition, heavy use of the surface can shorten the service life of the sealant. However, it is possible that the depth effect is still present in the underlying layers.
The lack of beading effect could be due to problems with the application of the sealant. Moisture during application or incompletely removed pre-cleaning can impair the effect and prevent the sealant from being optimally absorbed and setting.
