Rock-hard and extremely heavy – you might think that concrete cannot harm anything. Nevertheless, environmental influences put a heavy strain on the concrete and over time it loses more and more of its inviolability and it becomes soiled. So it is exposed to the weather in the outdoor area 24/7, whether rain showers, solar radiation, natural influences such as moss or similar, these influences affect the substance. And indoors, too, the concrete block has faced a wide variety of challenges over the years, stains of all kinds, aggressive cleaning agents and even water can cause permanent damage to the concrete. This is not only very unattractive to look at, but can also increase costs very quickly. The solution: Concrete sealing for indoor and outdoor areas!
Concrete sealing from liquid glass
In order to protect concrete in the long term, there is now a professional solution from German laboratories: V24 concrete sealing perfects the appearance, durability and service life of concrete. Thanks to the lotus effect method, moisture rolls off and dirt can no longer adhere. The look and grip remain unchanged.
Our concrete sealing for indoor and outdoor use protects stone surfaces such as concrete, masonry, mineral plaster and paving stones effectively and permanently from external influences. Thanks to the lotus effect, liquids such as water, wine or oil no longer penetrate the surface, but simply roll off the surface.
What is the V24 concrete seal made of?
Our concrete sealing made of liquid glass is a combination of glass molecules, the so-called silicon dioxide. This silicon is obtained from pure quartz sand and makes up around 15% of the earth’s mass. So we are talking about a raw material that occurs in nature in enormous quantities. Ecologically harmless and non-toxic.
Made from natural resources
Researchers in German nanotechnology have developed a method that makes it possible to extract silicon dioxide molecules in extremely fine resolution from quartz sand. Combined with a solvent that evaporates during application, the protective, deeply penetrating liquid glass layer remains.

Your concrete surfaces will still shine like new even after several years. Surfaces are very easy to clean. Usually without a cleaner or only with ours Bioreniger biosativa .
Sealing concrete inside the house / Sealing concrete indoors
In the house, too, one encounters concrete in its most varied of forms. The concrete floor is one of the most popular types in the house. With our sealing you protect your beloved floor, but stairs or walls are also protected against the effects of moisture, mold and stains as well as dirt of all kinds. The surface remains breathable, dirt no longer adheres and can be easily removed within a few seconds.
V24 concrete sealing application
The V24 concrete sealer is delivered immediately ready for use. Simply apply it undiluted to the very well pre-cleaned and dry surface.
The amount to be applied is very much dependent on the absorbency of the concrete surface. For best results, we recommend carrying out a test impregnation before applying the surface. According to a convincing test result, the recommended application temperature is 30-100ml per square meter and a temperature of +5 to + 25 ° C.
Particularly important: Please make sure that the concrete surface to be treated for sealing is already dust-dry and has been thoroughly cleaned beforehand. This is the only way for the sealant to penetrate deep into the surface and guarantee an optimal long-term and deep effect. Allow concrete surfaces to dry well for at least 48 hours after cleaning.
Moisture that was absorbed by the concrete during pre-cleaning must be completely dried before use. If cleaning agents were used, they must be removed without leaving any residue. Residual contamination, dirt and dust can also contribute to less than optimal results, as these also absorb the seal. For outdoor areas, the corresponding surface must be free of weeds. The sealing should never be used in rain, in contact with water or even damp surfaces.
How do I properly seal concrete? The procedure:
If necessary, cover surrounding areas during use. Plants should always be protected from contact. Basically, neither glass nor plastic are attacked by the V24 concrete sealing, but a greasy film can develop, which, however, can be easily removed with immediate cleaning with commercially available cleaning agents.
The optimal method always depends on the size, position, structure and absorbency of the area to be treated. For the best possible result, the sealing should be carried out using a spray or roller method and then remain in contact with the surface as a liquid film for several seconds. We recommend performing the process from bottom to top on vertical surfaces.
The aids used for application should always be clean and dry. After successful use, they can be cleaned with solvents such as petrol, spirit or thinner.
After the sealer has been applied, it is important to consider the drying time and allow the concrete sealer to cure. This is because the optimum care properties and maximum protective effect can only be achieved when the product is completely dry.
After 24 hours, the coating is completely crosslinked and hardened and its concrete surface is protected from all influences.
Concrete impregnation or sealing?
The general difference between concrete impregnation and concrete sealing is mainly that the impregnation soaks into the concrete pores. The impregnating agent reacts with the pores, making them water and dirt repellent, while the pores remain breathable. With concrete sealing, a thin protective layer is applied to the surface, making it dirt-repellent. However, the surface does not remain breathable, which is undesirable depending on the application.
V24’s concrete sealer for interior and exterior use is a breathable sealer that can be considered a concrete impregnation.
General areas of application of concrete sealing and what to look out for
Concrete impregnation or sealing is particularly suitable for areas that are exposed to weathering or constant use. The prerequisite for this is, of course, that it is also an uncoated and untreated concrete substrate. These could be patio floors, industrial floors, hobby rooms, walkways, or building materials – just to name a few.
However, the longevity of the sealant depends on the degree of use of the surface or object. The more frequently the material is subjected to (mainly) abrasive stress, the faster the protective function of the concrete impregnation or sealing decreases.
The advantages of concrete sealing
The advantages of surface sealing clearly lie in the dirt-repellent protective effect. This is especially helpful in areas such as industry, as it creates effective protection against oil and acids. In addition, V24 concrete impregnation protects against moisture penetrating the material. This proactively prevents mold growth by allowing moisture to be drawn out of the material from the inside. In this way, concrete damage is avoided.
FAQ
Application to already painted façades is generally possible if the mineral substrate is still breathable and therefore absorbent and offers the sealer/impregnation the opportunity to adhere.
It must be checked in advance whether the paints and pre-treatments used are solvent-resistant. In any case, a test application on an inconspicuous area is recommended.
Since silicate paint has a mineral basis and forms a chemically strong bond with the surface, mineral plaster coated with silicate paint can also be impregnated or sealed.
Since silicate paint is highly permeable, it can be combined with a breathable concrete seal for indoor and outdoor use. In interior rooms, the surface regulates the humidity in the room, outside, the seal offers additional protection for the wall thanks to its hydrophobic and dirt-repellent effect.
Due to the different qualities of pre-treatments and colors, it should be checked in advance whether the products used are solvent-resistant. In any case, a test application on an inconspicuous area is recommended.
1. The effectiveness of the sealer may be impaired if moisture (e.g. rain or rising damp from the floor) occurs during the application or drying phase (approx. 24 hours).
2. Pre-cleaning that is not completely residue-free can also lead to problems. It is essential that stone cleaners or other pre-cleaners are completely removed.
3. Any pre-coatings can prevent the sealant from being optimally absorbed and set, which can lead to a reduced or non-long-lasting effect.
Recommendation:
1. We generally advise against using a pressure washer for cleaning stone and concrete slabs. The heavy abrasion damages the surfaces and makes them more susceptible to re-soiling and algae growth.
2. The abrasive action of the pressure washer can remove the top layer of a sealant, even if the hydrophobicity in the deeper layers remains intact.
The durability of the sealant can be influenced by various factors. Possible problems during application, such as exposure to moisture during the drying phase or inadequate pre-cleaning, can impair the optimum effect. In addition, heavy use of the surface can shorten the service life of the sealant. However, it is possible that the depth effect is still present in the underlying layers.
The lack of beading effect could be due to problems with the application of the sealant. Moisture during application or incompletely removed pre-cleaning can impair the effect and prevent the sealant from being optimally absorbed and setting.
