Our Permanent Protector 7640 HIGH END – 9H ceramic sealant for metal, plastic, powder-coated and painted surfaces with exceptional resistance to corrosion, abrasion and temperature is ideal for car paintwork.
This sealant should be applied by professionals who are familiar with its application, as the setting times are very short. The application should be tested at the beginning.

Oxidation and corrosion resistance
Bare metal oxidizes over time, as do painted surfaces. Permanent Protector 7640 protects the paint and the metal from contact with water and air and therefore protects against corrosion.
High resistance to chemicals
The ceramic sealant is almost 100% resistant to most chemicals/solvents in use.

Functionality
Our ceramic sealant Permanent Protector 7640 reacts with the surface of the material and forms an abrasion-resistant coating with very good adhesion properties on metal.
An ultra-thin, transparent coating with high impact resistance is formed. Permanent Protector 7640 is resistant to alkali and corrosion.
Treatment with Permanent Protector 7640 does not require a chromate conversion layer on the substrate and is free of chromium and lead in accordance with the Hazardous Substances Ordinance. To determine the exact amount required, a test on a sample area is necessary.

Permanent Protector 7640
- must not come into contact with moisture.
- Storage temperature of the material: < 20°C.
Permanent Protector 7640 has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in the original sealed containers.
A longer storage period does not necessarily mean that the product is unusable, however, in terms of quality assurance, the properties desired for the intended use should be checked.
FAQ
The high-performance 9H ceramic sealant is a glass coating based on silanes. It is so thin and invisible to the naked eye that it has no effect on the appearance or surface texture. High-Performance 9H ceramic sealant is not paint, wax or sealant and cannot flake off or be washed off.
The ceramic sealant forms a permanent (“covalent”) bond with the surface and can only be removed by sanding. Chemicals cannot dissolve the ceramic sealant. However, it is preserved permanently only with proper care. The service life depends on the influences to which the surface is exposed.
To describe the hardness of a coating, we use the well-known “pencil hardness”. The measuring range is between 6B (softest) and 9H (hardest). The Permanent Protector 7640 achieves a hardness level of 8H (drying at room temperature) to 9H (heat drying).
